Established in 1987 Thimbelina has a long reputation for providing designer wear for a wide range of occasions. See recent examples of our work below.

Since February 2003 the business has been under the ownership and management of Sarah Ashton.
Sarah is a BA (Hons) graduate of Teeside University where she specialised in the design and making of costumes for the Theatre.

Together with a skilled team of dressmakers, we continue to please many people with a perfectly fitted made to measure garment. Utilising the skills gained from the degree course, a pattern is made from a sketch, and then a toile (mock garment) made to fit, before the final garment is made. At each stage you are closely involved in every aspect of the design and enables us to be extremely flexible.

The result is unique - the dress of your dreams!
